Arizona car crash leaves professional baseball players hurt

A car accident in Scottsdale, Arizona left a number of professional baseball players injured and in need of medical attention after their team van crashed into another vehicle. The players, who are a part of the minor league team affiliated with the San Francisco Giants, were taken to the hospital after the accident. Five players in total required the hospital trip, and shortly thereafter they were released and back with the team to rest up.

Over the next day or two, the players will be evaluated and checked out by doctors. They should be cleared to resume their training very soon.

There are a few things to learn from this story. The extensive effect a car accident can have on a person's life. A car accident may leave you injured; but it also leaves you with a damaged (or totaled) vehicle, a diminished ability (or complete inability) to perform your job, and a pile of medical and insurance bills that you have to deal with. Some of the pain and suffering associated with your car accident can pass on to your family too, who may have to take care of you or find other financial means of helping the family out while you recover.

All of these things can be cited in a civil lawsuit against the other driver (or drivers) involved in your crash. If the driver (or drivers) were negligent in any way, or determined to be at fault by investigators, then you could seek compensatory damages to help pay for your hospital stay and other bills tied to the crash.
