Better Safe Than Sorry

We are often asked if an attorney is really necessary when filing for divorce in Arizona. There is no requirement in Arizona that you retain a lawyer to represent you in your divorce. We believe you could be placing yourself at a real disadvantage by not retaining counsel.

For starters, divorce very often can be an emotional time for the parties involved, and understandably so. By retaining an attorney you'll have the peace of mind of knowing your legal matters are being properly attended to and all of your court deadlines are being met, leaving you more time to spend with your family and friends, and less time stressing over your case or filing paperwork.

Having an attorney can oftentimes open the lines of communication between the parties and lead to resolution of the case in more timely fashion. In addition, your attorney can provide valuable advice regarding your case that might otherwise go overlooked, such as whether or not you should file for temporary orders for instance.

If you would like to speak with an attorney about divorce or if you have questions about any other family law issues, we would encourage you to call our office to schedule a consultation.
