A fatal accident in Phoenix caused by a driver who apparently missed his turn is under investigation. The wreck was caused by a driver who was in the lane nearest to the sidewalk. Apparently this driver passed through an intersection and realized that he missed his turn. He attempted a U-turn — crossing into the path of other lanes going in his direction.

One vehicle, being driven by a 19-year-old and carrying two other teenagers, struck the driver as he attempted this reckless U-turn. All three teenagers in that vehicle were taken to the hospital for their injuries. However, the driver who made the U-turn was killed in the crash.

Police are investigating the wreck, such as the possibility that the teenager driving the other car was impaired, however unlikely that may be. Unfortunately, it appears this is a simple matter where a terrible motor vehicle accident was caused by a driver who made a poor decision.

In other cases like this where an irresponsible driver causes the death of another, a wrongful death lawsuit may be pursued by the family and loved ones of the deceased person. These lawsuits can be complicated, even when the incident in question seems so simple. The investigation into such an accident then becomes crucial to the filing party.

Wrongful death lawsuits can cover a number of damages, including pain and suffering, mental and emotional anguish, loss of wages, loss of enjoyment of life and myriad other factors that can afflict a family after such a fatal incident.
