What community property is and how you can prepare for it

There are only a handful of states in the U.S. that abide by community property laws. This doesn't mean that community property laws are "bad," but it does mean that these laws are more uncommon -- and, thus, maybe not as recognizable or understandable -- as other property division laws. Arizona is one of the states that follows community property laws.

Fatal wreck between 2 vehicles being investigated

A car accident in Phoenix, Arizona claimed the life of one person, and left two others with injuries. One of the injured individuals needed to be transported to a trauma center, and was described as being in "critical" condition. The photo in our source article gives you a very clear idea of how devastating the impact was between the two cars when the collision occurred.

Cellphone use is still an embarrassingly common factor in crashes

Texting while driving -- and, more generally, cellphone use while driving -- is, unfortunately, a thing. Child support may not exactly be a "forgotten" element to divorce, but it certainly takes a back seat to some other issues -- most notably to it's associated issue, child custody. Child support payments can drastically affect the lives of the two spouses and the child involved.

Truck and train collide in downtown Phoenix, at least 7 injured

An unfortunate and uncommon motor vehicle accident in downtown Phoenix, Arizona occurred over the weekend, leaving many people with injuries. The wreck was between a commercial truck and a metro light rail train. Both of the vehicles were travelling in the same direction -- southbound -- when the truck tried to make a left turn, apparently in front of the train. The two vehicles collided as a result, and at least seven people suffered injuries.

State bans have impact on teen texting while driving rates

A new study reveals that states that pass texting while driving bans see a significant decrease in teen texting while driving rates in the years that follow the ban's passing. Now that may seem incredibly obvious, and to an extent it is. But teen texting while driving rates are so high anyway that even obvious decreases like the ones seen in this study deserve to be highlighted.
