City buses involved in Phoenix 'wedge' accident

A recent, and bizarre, motor vehicle accident in Phoenix, Arizona involved one smaller car and two city buses. It appears that the accident was sparked by the smaller vehicle, which tried to drive between the buses even though the space between them was very small. The car ended up getting wedged between the buses, though thankfully no one was hurt in the incident.

It has not yet been determined if the driver of the smaller vehicles will be given any citations as a result of their actions.

Even though this may be a somewhat amusing story that exemplifies why it isn't best to rush or take risks when driving a motor vehicle, this story is also a critical reminder about city buses and city-run transportation. When buses are involved in an accident, the processes involved in sorting out that accident become much more complicated.

Obviously, the city will become involved, and there is a lot more red tape that needs to be dealt with. The bus driver will play a huge role in any accident with these circumstances. Was he or she operating the bus safely? Was the driver distracted? Did he or she have prior safety violations?

When city transportation is involved in your accident, you need to protect yourself and your interests, and the best way to do that is to consult with an experienced personal injury attorney. Don't let your injuries and the injustice that you have suffered be ignored. Your personal injury lawsuit could yield critical compensation to help you deal with the aftermath of the accident.
