A few weeks ago, Interstate 10 became an absolute mess when a car had a terrible breakdown and created a tragic motor vehicle accident. The wreck happened after one of the rear tires blew out on the large vehicle, which was carrying nine people in it. The vehicle then careened across the median and into oncoming traffic. Miraculously, it did not hit another vehicle. Five of the people inside the vehicle were ejected.
The crash left two people dead and numerous others with life-threatening injuries. A few of the people in the wreck suffered serious or minor injuries. Interstate 10 still wasn’t fully open four hours after the wreck occurred.
This is a sad and unfortunate wreck that truly seems to be the definition of an “accident.” With that said, there are plenty of other wrecks that aren’t so “accidental” in nature that leave families reeling and people suffering.
The vehicle in this crash rolled over, and rollover accidents are notorious for causing some catastrophic upper body injuries. Traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neck injuries, head injuries — these are all possible in a rollover accident, and they all carry serious consequences for whoever is unfortunate enough to suffer them.
If you are injured in this way in a rollover accident and the wreck was caused under negligent circumstances, you may want to consider legal action. Your injuries could lead to severe medical debt that you shouldn’t have to pay. The compensation from a personal injury lawsuit could help you deal with the unfortunate aftermath of the accident.
