Truck accident may have involved impaired driver

The following story is a little bit older, but it contains important information about truck drivers, and especially drivers of large construction or commercial vehicles.

The crash in question occurred about a month ago in Mesa, Arizona. A man in his 40s was driving a cement truck and he approached a vehicle that had two women in theirs 50s inside. The cement truck that ran into the back of the vehicle and pushed it into the street, causing a severe collision. The two women inside of the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries while the driver of the cement truck suffered serious injuries.

Police who were at the scene said that the driver of the cement truck exhibited signs of intoxication, though it was unclear if the man was charged with such an offense.

Look, there are many thing to consider here, but the most important is that if a driver of a large truck or any large vehicle is intoxicated, then that driver is committing a very negligent offense. Such large vehicles needed to be safely operated by someone who is properly trained and has the proper state of mind. Otherwise, innocent people are put at risk.

We assume this person had a commercial driver's license, otherwise this could be an even more reckless accident than originally thought.

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident that involves a truck and the driver is proven to be negligent or reckless, then you need to consider the legal side to your civil case.
